Some dogs cuddle their toys. I prefer to destroy mine.
Stuffing, squeakers, seams… if it’s there, I’ll find it. I’ve even made a hobby out of chewing up dog beds. My humans aren’t exactly impressed with that talent.
So, I’ve rounded up three products worth a closer look for dogs like me who take chewing seriously.
1. A Chew Worth Getting Your Teeth Into
I’m always looking for something interesting to chew on, and this one caught my attention, a bacon-flavored nylon chew with a curved wishbone design. Its curved shape makes it easy to grab with my paws, while the bacon flavor adds a little extra appeal. The nylon construction gives enthusiastic chewers something firm to work on.
Just remember that hard nylon chews aren’t right for every dog and can pose a risk to teeth. Supervise chewing and check for wear.
2. Something Tasty to Chew On
Not every chewing session needs a toy. Sometimes a tasty treat is even better, such as these oven-baked, rawhide-free pork skin chews.
These roasted pork skin chews offer a rawhide-free alternative for dogs who enjoy having something edible to work on. I certainly wouldn’t turn down a snack!
Choose an appropriate size and always supervise, especially as the chew gets smaller.
3. A Dog Bed I Haven’t Tried to Destroy
Here’s something my humans find interesting: I have a history of chewing up dog beds, but this elevated style hasn’t caught my attention nearly as much — it’s an elevated mesh dog bed with a sturdy frame and removable bolster.
The Final Sniff
If your dog destroys toys as quickly as I do, look for products designed with their chewing habits in mind. Pay attention to materials, choose the right size, and remember that no toy or bed is completely indestructible.
Always supervise chewing and replace damaged products. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have more to investigate.
Two sniffs,
Mac
